When it was time for us to choose what chips we would be having at our breast cancer benefit, we didn't have to look any farther than the 12g Lucky Bee NexGen Clay Poker Chips. We have heard from friends and family that these poker chips are the best around and they certainly didn't let us down. It's hard to believe that after four years, they almost look brand new.
See, during our first year, there was only thirty-five people that showed up. Most of them were related to my wife and I, but there were a few "friends of friends" that came as well. Even though the total was low, it ended up being a great time to play cards and meet others who have had a friend or loved one deal with this ongoing problem. However, it was the following year that changed everything.
What happened was the word-of-mouth spread like wildfire. The second year around, our total participation jumped from thirty-five to a hundred and eight. The most important thing though is that our donation amount went from twenty-five hundred to just over ten grand. While we were thankful, the biggest question was how we gained so much exposure in just one year.
Obviously, everyone wanted to help and loved the organization of our benefit, but we had several people compliment our Blackjack and Texas Hold'em tables. We heard things like, "I can't believe you guys use 12g Lucky Bee NexGen Clay Poker Chips." Then of course, there were comments about the tables and felt colors, which we also ended up purchasing online.
However, my favorite compliment regarding the 12g Lucky Bee NexGen Clay Poker Chips and all the other poker supplies was, "You guys have really out done yourself here. I have been to several breast cancer benefits, but as an avid gambler, I've never felt like I was sitting in a casino like I do when my wife and I come to your setup. Props to all of you for setting this up."
It was a great thing to hear and to make a long story short, we now have over five hundred people reserve spots for the Hold'em tournament and about two hundred attend our Saturday night steak and seafood dinner. As of 2009, we have accumulated over seventy-two thousand dollars for this cause, and now the sky is the limit. Needless to say, we couldn't be happier with the results.
To be truthful, we know the success of our benefit doesn't revolve around the 12g Lucky Bee NexGen Clay Poker Chips. Then again, things didn't really start to flourish until we chose these poker chips because of their feel, weight, and assortment of colors. Even if you aren't into all of that, you have to acknowledge the designs which are priceless.
So if you are holding a tournament or just playing with friends, everyone will take you seriously when you have poker chips like this at your table. Heck, we didn't even have poker tables when we first started, which makes it nice to know everyone kept coming back for the cause. Hopefully, a few of them will bring some new givers next year.
